Christiaan De Beukelaer's recent book Trade Winds: A Voyage to a Sustainable
Future for Shipping (Manchester University Press, 2023) has been nominated for
The Maritime Foundation Award for Best Book 2024.The award is presented to the
book that has "contributed most significantly to public engagement with maritime
issues", and the winner will be announced at a ceremony in London in mid-October.

Christiaan De Beukelaer is a Global Horizons Senior Fellow at the Collegium
in the academic year 2024-25.
